The Heart Button

Sometime saving stuff with the Lasso just takes too long. It’s great to keep yourself organized by adding tags, a title or a description, but when you don’t have much time, it gets in your way. That’s why I’m introducing the Heart Button today. It will save the current website without any further ado within seconds – super easy. To show you how it works and how fast it is, I’ve created a little screencast.

I’m – again – very excited to hear what you think about it, so just leave a comment here, write me on Facebook or get in contact on Twitter.

  1. Wow, pretty sexy! Would be great to have some options for the saving process: Automatically add a tag “hearted” to sort those quick bookmarks from the other ones in the zoo.

  2. @Emzo I plan to add a way to view all untagged items, but that would be cool as well!!

  4. It would be great to have this with the ability to create multiple hearts with different tags. I may want a couple different ones with quick tags for different topics. Often I want to save a page for personal, work, blog 1 or blog 2. I would want a heart for each.

  5. Great idea! Love it :)

  6. Nice tool. Looking forward to using it.

  7. I’m usually getting more and more excited whenever a new bookmarklet is created. This is NOT an exception! :-D

  8. Agree with GaryGeo. Different hearts for the tags you most frecuently use would be such a great feature.

  9. thanks guys! your feedback means a lot to me! the idea with having heart buttons for special tags is pretty cool!! I will think about how to include that. (but no promises :))

  10. again, great feature bastian! (in safari, i did the heart on #1 and I can press the cmd + 1 key so safe it to my zoo. wohooo! :) )

  11. @Thorsten I love those shortcuts in Safari! It’s so damn handy :)

  12. I haven’t used Zootool for a while now because it was too slow for my workflow. This is why i’m using Zootool as Bookmarking-Tool again. Now it’s perfect for collecting website-inspiration :)
