Kaleidoscope App

Facebook has amazing UX in my opinion, but they could take it to the next level and make a beautiful UI to match it. Sofa could do that.

My understanding is that FB is interested in the designers. Apparently, FB's design group is crap and they're looking to straighten it up.

I hope it's not another case of 'major player buys out indie developer — great software disappears in the process.'

Yeah I'm really curious to see how their talent is applied at Facebook. They clearly have a lot of it.

Seems pretty clear to me that this means some type of desktop mac facebook app is in our future.

It's the people they're after, in which case it is a shame that they're stopping development of these apps.

@jankorbel Ah yes you're right. They're definitely losing Kaleidoscope and Versions, but they're looking to do the same for the others.

It's a pity to see indie mac developers stop doing what they were great at :(

Oh, I do not think they've bought the products, FB bought people, the talent. Sofa hint it in their post that the products will be sold.

It will be definitely interesting to see, what they will come up with. The sofa guys rock, so I hope they bring some nice design to FB :)

That is odd. I see Kaleidoscope and Versions are to be spun off - FB were after the commerce stuff, including the in-store apps.
